Aoraki / Mount Cook deserves more than a quick stop. This private three-day trip gives you two nights in the heart of the national park and time to experience it on foot, by boat and from the air. From the Hooker Valley to Tasman Lake and the steps to Sealy Tarns, each day reveals a different side of New Zealand’s alpine landscape.
Experience the best of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park on a private three-day guided journey from Queenstown. With two nights in Mount Cook Village, you’ll have time to walk beneath New Zealand’s highest peaks, explore the Tasman Glacier landscape and enjoy the mountain scenery without squeezing it all into a single day.
Your first walk follows the Hooker Valley Track across swing bridges and through open alpine terrain to Hooker Lake, where Aoraki/Mount Cook rises beyond the water. The next day brings a different view of the park: look out over Tasman Lake, join the Glacier Explorers boat trip among floating icebergs, then take a scenic flight with a glacier landing for a close-up encounter with the Southern Alps.
On the final morning, climb to Sealy Tarns. The 2,200 steps are a rewarding challenge, leading to wide views across the Hooker Valley and surrounding mountains before the return journey to Queenstown. Your private guide sets a pace that suits your group and can adjust the order of walks and activities around the weather, track conditions and flight availability.
Three days, one remarkable place. Walk beneath Aoraki / Mount Cook, explore Tasman Lake and see the Southern Alps from above—all at your own pace.
